Celebrating Passover

Last night, I went to a seder for Passover. Today is the first day of spring break, so I went to my friend Elizabeth's house for a sleepover! I'm only one-quarter Jewish, because my grandpa is Jewish, but Elizabeth is 100% Jewish, and at her house they celebrate Passover with a seder. At the seder table, we told the Passover story, sang songs, and then we ate delicious food. I liked the matzoh ball soup and the haroset, a topping made with fruit, nuts and cinnamon that you eat with matzoh, the best!

After the seder, Elizabeth and I watched the movie "The Prince of Egypt," which tells the Passover story. It was really scary in some parts, especially the parts with the ten plagues, but it was a good movie. This song is beautiful, it's my favorite part in the movie. It's baby Moses in the basket - isn't he cute?

Love,
Livia

  2. We had a seder too. =) It wasn't as good as usual though because my mom has been too busy at work. =P

There was also a big Passover get-together for the kids at our temple, and one of the older grandpa type men told the Passover story.
